As our new UX all-rounder, your mission will be to create positive UX in initiatives that make our IT monitoring software, Checkmk, more consistent and accessible, improve error prevention and recovery, and ultimately make our users more efficient. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our users have a seamless and enjoyable experience when using our product. Here's what your journey with us will look like:

Simplify complexity: Break down intricate workflows and technical concepts into intuitive, user-friendly solutions. Ensure that complexity is handled behind the scenes, allowing users to efficiently achieve their goals with minimal friction.
UX Design: Utilize usability best practices and design patterns to create user flows and wireframes based on user stories and research insights in close collaboration with product management, development, and our users.
Visual Design: Balance aesthetics with functionality to create clean, user-centered interfaces. Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the product.
Work close with our users: Gather feedback and insights from our users via surveys, interviews, usability tests, and casual conversations to gather deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points. Translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Collaboration: Work closely with product teams and the UX team to ensure that user research findings are integrated into the design process, driving data-informed decisions that enhance the user experience.

Your profile

You have a Bachelor's degree in a field related to UX, HCI or media communications OR a certification such as CPUX-F OR equivalent experience
You have demonstrated experience of at least 2 years in UX or product design, ideally in the B2B software sector
You are passionate about delivering great user experiences
You are a detail-oriented person with a hands-on mentality
You are eager to dive into complex problems in complex environments
You can confidently lead user interviews and usability tests in German and English
You know how to utilize design and whiteboarding tools, such as Figma, Balsamiq, and Figjam
You have experience contributing to and evolving design systems
Nice to have: You have worked in a SCRUM environment with Jira
Nice to have: You have worked with Limesurvey or similar online survey tools.

Bist du ein leidenschaftlicher (Senior) UX Designer, der einen direkten und messbaren Einfluss auf das Leben der Nutzer haben möchte? Als unser neuer UX-Allrounder besteht deine Mission darin, eine positive UX zu gestalten, die unsere IT-Monitoring-Software Checkmk konsistenter und zugänglicher macht, Fehlervermeidung und -behebung verbessert und unsere Nutzer letztlich effizienter macht. Du wirst eine zentrale Rolle dabei spielen, sicherzustellen, dass unsere Nutzer eine nahtlose und angenehme Erfahrung mit unserem Produkt haben. So sieht deine Reise bei uns aus:

Komplexität vereinfachen: Übersetze komplexe Workflows und technische Konzepte in intuitive, benutzerfreundliche Lösungen. Stelle sicher, dass die Komplexität im Hintergrund gehandhabt wird, sodass Nutzer ihre Ziele effizient erreichen können.
UX Design: Nutze bewährte Methoden der Usability und Design Patterns, um User Flows und Wireframes auf Basis von User Stories und Researchergebnissen in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Produktmanagement, Entwicklung und unseren Nutzern zu erstellen.
Visuelles Design: Finde die Balance zwischen Ästhetik und Funktionalität, um klare, nutzerzentrierte Oberflächen zu gestalten. Trage zur Weiterentwicklung unseres Designsystems bei, um visuelle Konsistenz, Barrierefreiheit und Skalierbarkeit im gesamten Produkt sicherzustellen.
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Nutzern: Sammle Feedback und Einblicke durch Umfragen, Interviews, Usability-Tests und informelle Gespräche, um ein tiefes Verständnis für Nutzerverhalten, Bedürfnisse und Schmerzpunkte zu gewinnen. Übersetze die Erkenntnisse in umsetzbare Empfehlungen.
Zusammenarbeit: Arbeite eng mit Produkt- und Entwicklungsteams und dem UX-Team zusammen, um sicherzustellen, dass Erkenntnisse aus der Nutzerforschung in den Designprozess integriert werden und datenbasierte Entscheidungen zur Verbesserung der Nutzererfahrung führen.

Dein Profil

Du hast einen Bachelorabschluss in einem UX-nahen Fachbereich wie HCI oder Medienkommunikation ODER eine Zertifizierung wie CPUX-F ODER gleichwertige Erfahrung
Du hast nachgewiesene Erfahrung von mindestens 2 Jahren im UX- oder Product Design, idealerweise im B2B-Softwarebereich
Du brennst dafür, großartige Nutzererlebnisse zu schaffen
Du arbeitest detailorientiert und hast eine Hands-on-Mentalität
Du hast Lust, dich in komplexe Probleme und Umgebungen einzuarbeiten
