Working student (m/w/d) Knowledge Team

Your mission

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented working student to join our user guide team at Checkmk. In this role, you will improve building the user guide from Asciidoc to HTML and help maintain consistency over several languages and branches. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in documentation management and maintenance.

Your responsibilities:

Maintenance and further development of the Asciidoc documentation pipeline
Optimization and maintenance of the processing chain towards static HTML
Integration and automation of translation processes and quality checks
Collaboration with the team to ensure documentation quality
Maintenance and expansion of Continuous Integration processes using Jenkins

Your profile

Good knowledge of JavaScript
Solid knowledge of the XML Document Object Model (DOM) tree
Basic knowledge of CSS
Basic knowledge of Python or Ruby (ideally Ruby and Nokogiri)
No fear of the Linux command line or working with Git
Willingness to familiarize yourself with CI processes using Jenkins
Interest in using REST APIs (Weblate, DeepL)
Good command of written and spoken English

Deine Aufgaben

Wir suchen eine motivierte und detailorientierte Werkstudentin bzw. einen motivierten und detailorientierten Werkstudenten zur Verstärkung unseres User-Guide-Teams bei Checkmk. In dieser Rolle wirst du beim Aufbau des User Guides von Asciidoc zu HTML mitwirken und dabei helfen, die Konsistenz über mehrere Sprachen und Branches hinweg sicherzustellen. Das ist eine ausgezeichnete Gelegenheit für Studierende, praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich Dokumentationsmanagement und -pflege zu sammeln.

Deine Aufgaben:

Pflege und Weiterentwicklung der Asciidoc-Dokumentationspipeline
Optimierung und Wartung der Verarbeitungskette hin zu statischem HTML
Integration und Automatisierung von Übersetzungsprozessen und Qualitätsprüfung
Zusammenarbeit mit dem Team zur Sicherstellung der Dokumentationsqualität
Pflege und Erweiterung der Continuous Integration-Prozesse mit Jenkins

Dein Profil

Gute Kenntnisse in JavaScript
Solide Kenntnisse im XML Document Object Model (DOM) Tree Grundkenntnisse mit CSS
Grundkenntnisse in Python oder Ruby (idealerweise Ruby und Nokogiri)
Keine Scheu vor der Linux-Kommandozeile oder der Arbeit mit Git
Bereitschaft zur Einarbeitung in CI-Prozesse mit Jenkins
Interesse an der Nutzung von REST APIs (Weblate, DeepL)
Sichere Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
