We’re looking for an experienced and curious Product Marketing Manager to help define and shape how Checkmk shows up in the market. You’ll bring a deep empathy for IT professionals and the ability to connect their day-to-day pain to the strategic value Checkmk delivers.
In this role, you’ll craft and execute compelling positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that resonate with IT admins, DevOps engineers, SREs, and infrastructure leaders. You’ll play a keyrole in driving awareness, adoption, and growth for Checkmk in a rapidly evolving market that’s critical to keeping the world’s IT backbone up and running.

Key Responsibilities:
- Craft powerful messaging and positioning that clearly articulates how Checkmk solves real pain for technical IT users - across infrastructure monitoring, observability, and automation.
- Develop and refine ideal customer profiles and personas, understanding the needs of IT administrators, system engineers, SREs, and DevOps professionals across industries.
- Be the voice of the user. Lead qualitative and quantitative research to uncover pain points and connect them to our unique product strengths and differentiators.
- Analyze telemetry and customer journey data to identify patterns, influence roadmap priorities, and improve onboarding and conversion paths.
- Build and scale go-to-market toolkits - from pitch decks and battle cards to value frameworks, competitive intel, and feature launch packages.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and demand generation to ensure alignment in messaging, launch readiness, and content strategy.
- Influence product strategy with insights from the market, customers, and competitive landscape - especially across open-source and commercial observability solutions.
- Partner on pricing and packaging strategies that reflect value for different user and buyer personas, driving adoption across Checkmk editions.
- Represent Checkmk in the market with thought leadership content, event presentations, and community engagement.
