QA Engineer (m/f/d)

• Design and development of End 2 End tests and tools
• Improve and monitor the quality of our software releases
• Work closely with developers on the whole quality process
• Become part of our SaaS team and collaborate closely with our QA team to help enhance and increase our testing capabilities.
• Build and maintain test frameworks that help us achieve that
• Setup automated integration, user acceptance, and UI based end-to-end tests in collaboration with the development team
• Consult the development team regarding test methods
• In collaboration with our QA team you take responsibility to further develop our test architecture and the overall Checkmk software quality forward
• You support the automation of build processes in our CI/CD (Jenkins / Gitlab)

Your profile

• 3+ years of professional experience as a QA engineer in larger software projects
• Experience in test automation within AWS and Kubernetes environments. Understanding of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies in AWS.
• Expertise in Python to be able to understand our code base and implement automated tests
• Agile mindset and experience with agile development practices (TDD, CI, Pair Programming, Scrum, Kanban, ...)
• Strong ability to grasp complex tasks and to answer them with uncomplicated solutions
• Knowledge and experience with the following technologies used by us: Git, Jenkins, Gitlab, JIRA, playwright, pytest, AWS, Kubernetes, Linux
• Passion for current technology developments and their possible applications
• Thinking like a user
• Friend of open source software
• Speak fluent English, German is nice to have
• Ideally university degree in computer science or comparable education
• ISTQB® certification desirable, but not mandatory
