QA / Software Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

Advising the development team on test methods
Test automation using GUI, web services, interfaces, etc.
Support in the definition and introduction of test and test automation methods
Development and maintenance of test frameworks
You drive forward topics such as TDD, CI/CD (Jenkins, Gitlab, CircleCI) and software quality
You are also responsible for the design, development and testing of new monitoring features
You take responsibility for the further development of our architecture
You support the automation of build processes and pursue test-driven development approaches
You actively shape the DevOps culture in our team and help to build and distribute knowledge on the topics of deployment and operation

Your profile

Experience in test automation
Experience in Python (backend development) as well as with Pytest
Ideally knowledge and experience with the following technologies we use: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Pylint, JIRA
Deep knowledge of the Linux command line
Friend of open source software
Several years of professional experience in the development of larger software projects
Agile mindset and experience with agile development practices (TDD, CI, pair programming, Scrum, Kanban, ...)
Passion for current technology developments and their possible applications
Strong ability to grasp complex tasks and answer them with solutions that are as uncomplicated as possible
Enjoy contact with customers and users
You are fluent in English
ISTQB® certification desirable, but not mandatory

Deine Aufgaben

Du suchst eine neue Herausforderung, bei der du Verantwortung für deine Arbeit übernehmen kannst? Du willst nicht nur Aufgaben abarbeiten, sondern auch eigene Ideen einbringen, Lösungen entwerfen und in deinem Team über die besten technischen Ansätze diskutieren? Eine moderne Unternehmenskultur, in der es mehr auf gute Ideen als auf Hierarchien ankommt, ist dir wichtig? Du arbeitest gern mit unterschiedlichen Menschen zusammen und schätzt andere Perspektiven? Beratung des Entwicklungsteams bzgl. Testmethoden
Testautomatisierung mittels GUI, Webservices, Schnittstellen, etc.
Unterstützung bei der Definition und Einführung von Test- und Testautomatisierungsmethoden
Entwicklung und Pflege von Testframeworks
Du treibst Themen wie TDD, CI/CD (Jenkins, Gitlab, CircleCI) und die Softwarequalität voran
Du bist aber auch verantwortlich für das Design, die Entwicklung und das Testen von neuen Monitoring Features
Du übernimmst Verantwortung bei der Weiterentwicklung unserer Architektur
Du unterstützt die Automatisierung von Build-Prozessen und verfolgst testgetriebene Entwicklungsansätze
Du gestaltest die DevOps-Kultur in unserem Team aktiv mit und hilfst bei Wissensaufbau und -verteilung zu den Themen Deployment und Betrieb

Dein Profil

Erfahrung in der Testautomatisierung
Erfahrung in Python (Backend-Entwicklung) und Pytest
Idealerweise Kenntnisse und Erfahrungen mit den folgenden, bei uns eingesetzten Technologien: Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Pylint, JIRA
Tiefe Kenntnis der Linux-Kommandozeile
Freund von Open-Source-Software
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in der Entwicklung größerer Software Projekte
Agiles Mindset und Erfahrungen mit agilen Entwicklungspraktiken (TDD, CI, Pair Programming, Scrum, Kanban, …)
Leidenschaft für aktuelle Technologieentwicklungen und deren Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Ausgeprägte Fähigkeit komplexe Aufgabenstellungen zu erfassen und mit möglichst unkomplizierten Lösungen zu beantworten
Freust dich über Kontakt zu Kunden und Anwendern
Du bist sattelfest in Englisch
ISTQB®-Zertifizierung wünschenswert, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich
