Cloud Backend Developer (m/f/d)

As a Cloud Backend Developer you will join our development team with the goal to help the  SaaS version of our IT monitoring solution to go to market.
You will be leveraging AWS services and cloud concepts to build a reliable, highly available solution. You are working closely with our Site Reliability Engineering team to jointly build Checkmk as a Service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Design and development of the backend components of our product
• Working with operations, product management, support and sales to convert requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate with other teams

Your profile

• University or technical college degree in the field of computer science, IT security or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in this or similar role (“you built it, you run it”)
• Experience working with and maintaining acceptance test
• Programming skills in Python
• Practical experience in the development of cloud services, in dealing with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and in the use of infrastructure-as-code solutions (e.g. Terraform, Helm)
• Practical experience with AWS services or other cloud environments
• Business fluent in written and spoken English
• Passion for current technology developments and their application
• You enjoy contact with users
